"A three-day weekend driving adventure for sports cars, touring cars, and classic cars on back roads of Washington and Oregon. Each day begins with a continental breakfast. Our first day begins at Griot’s Garage in Tacoma. We will spend two nights at McMenamin’s Grand Lodge hotel in Forest Grove. Accommodations are European-style. All rooms feature fine wood furnishings and cotton bathrobes."
"On Sunday we’ll visit four covered bridges in Oregon’s Willamette Valley with time for wine tasting along the way. Sunday’s adventure includes a box lunch and ends with a banquet meal in our own private dining room. The third day takes us back into Washington and our final stop at the Olympic Club in Centralia for an optional lunch with time to reminisce and say our goodbyes."

The Oregon Covered Bridge Tour was a budget-minded driving adventure through Oregon and Washington States. This was a non-competitive event consisting of approximately 450 miles of driving over three days using straight forward turn-by-turn route instructions. The route included rural farmland, forested mountains, rolling hills, small towns, and of course a few covered bridges.

The Oregon Covered Bridge Tour started on Saturday, October 1st at Griot’s Garage in Tacoma, Washington and finish in Centralia, Washington on Monday, October 3rd. The exact route remained secret until participants received their entry packages at registration-as is the norm. Route finding instructions were detailed and did not require any calculations or rally knowledge-again as is the norm. The event consisted of 100% paved roads, with some mountainous terrain and driving was scheduled during daylight hours. Included in the registration fee of $350.00 (per two person team) was:

Not included was Saturday lunch & dinner and lunch on Monday. This event was a self-guided tour. Participants were free to drive at their own pace and stop as much, or as little as they liked. All speed limits and driving laws applied. Ample time was built into the schedule for sightseeing, wine tasting, and shopping. Good sportsmanship, a healthy respect for others, and plain common sense, are the most important things you can bring with you. That and a well-prepared vehicle of course! Please remember these tours are not a race or competition in any way. Please drive in a reasonable, safe, and prudent manner.
